This class will take you on a tour of various anatomic structures that are relevant to rope and body safety. It is structured such that we will first investigate an area together, using visual diagrams and an ultrasound probe for direct visualization on a live model. Ideas for safe tying around the structures and modifications for various bodies will be suggested, and then participants will break out to practice those modifications to find what works best for them and their partners. Specific topics include the ulnar nerve at the elbow in tengu and tenshi harnesses, radial nerve and TKs, brachial plexus and shoulder straps, fibular nerve and futomomos, tibial nerve and tight binding around the calves, and (if time) diaphragm and waist rope.
No material components required
No prerequisites strictly required, though participants wanting to lab a specific harness will be expected to have a basic competency for that tie
