Victor (ropeism) is a San Francisco based rope top. He started tying up Chicago dads while studying there, and eventually found his way to SF in search of community. There, he came across Rope Burn - and curiosity quickly shaped into practice, with help from generous mentors and friends. After learning some techniques inspired by Kanna-ryu and now mostly Naka-ryu, Victor has since taught at CLAW and Delta, as well as at home turf orgs like SFLDG, GearUp, and Rope Burn.

Influenced by origami, voice, martial arts, and physics, he treats rope as a way to study attention, and through it, existence. He hopes to leave people somehow better off than how he found them, and with meaningful memories to reflect on.
